June 4th, 2018: Change in Course
Today was an interesting today. I focused on learning Substance Painter and finishing up the website for Equisamo.com (I'll include some images after this glass one). I designed a few swimsuits and full-bleed shirts. Though the collections will be vastly out of balance initially with a majority of the site centered on phraseology shirts, now the structure is there and my custom templates have been made so as to use efficiently with the iPad when necessary. The hard part is over, and I've had some brave souls signing up on the password page via Instagram over the last couple weeks after having rebooted that account's content, albeit a transitory and pseudo-ending of the Dad Clothes Era. Luckily, I don't think anyone is really paying attention.
Below, a glass anemone inside a simple glass engine nacelle. I'm tending to like to the faceting appearance of the low-poly areas and how they almost bring pixelation to life to virtual to life to virtual.
Below are some details from today's swimsuit design sessions. I'm including these because I'm employing 3D modeling, VR, and motion design to experiment with Equisamo, and surely some of the artistic endeavors wrapping Equisamo will work their way into this space. These are one-piece suits. I quit smoking yesterday. It's hard to describe how I'm feeling, but it's okay. I did go to the Y 3 times today. I'm trying to not die. I also finished Bostrom's 'Superintelligence' for the second time today and started Max Tegmark's 'Our Mathematical Universe' after finishing 'Homo Deus' by Harrari to follow up 'Sapiens'. Maybe I'll post some thoughts on those books soon. But yeah, smoking is over. More tomorrow. And learning Substance Painter is full of 'oh wow' and 'that's incredible' moments.
